To ensure fair Internet access for all HughesNet® members, HUGHES maintains a Fair Access Policy. This policy establishes a fair balance in Internet access for HughesNet members.
Hughes assigns a download allowance to each service plan that limits the amount of data that may be downloaded during a typical day. A small percentage of members exceed this limit and therefore experience a temporary reduction of speed.
We understand it’s not always easy to predict your usage, and if you inadvertently exceed your daily allowance, you may not realize why your service is slower than usual. That’s why we’ve created these tools and services – to help you manage your bandwidth usage, to alert you if you exceed your allowance, and to get you back up to speed right away. |
